The Dog Days Are Over

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on December 27, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

Above is a video for your viewing enjoyment. Although I tried to embed the whole thing here, you will be redirected to YouTube because of legalities over where it can be viewed. Nevertheless, the images are really interesting and I’m embracing the message for 2011. On top of that I blogged over at Naughty Author Chicks today about the mythological origins of the word clitoris. Why not stop by?

Holiday Fun!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on December 24, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

I’ve posted a kinky rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas on the 1-800-DOM-help blog. Click here to visit.  And here’s my previous post on that blog (click) with a YouTube video of what I’m calling the original Mistress.

I’ll post one last kinky karol below for your enjoyment. Credit goes to Cryptic, who seems to be a wealth of holiday creativity. So everyone celebrate the season with lots of fun and games. The following is sung to the tune of Winter Wonderland:

Slave bells ring, hear them jingle,
Feel the pain, and the tingle.
A beautiful sight,
I tied you up tight.
Living in a D/s wonderland.

Gagged away so you’re not heard,
Made you play til your mind blurred.
I cut off your thong,
As we go along,
Living in a D/s wonderland.

In the dungeon we can build an X-frame,
Then I tie you on it upside down

I’ll say: Are you ready?
You’ll say: No man,
But you can do the job
since you’re in town.

Later on, you’ll perspire,
to some ice, and some fire
You face unafraid,
The plans that I’ve made,
Living in a D/s wonderland.

Fettered Love Contracted!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on December 19, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

My editor offered me a contract for Fettered Love!  This novella (yes, you heard it right, novella–I can write short!) is part of the 1-800-DOM-help series with Ellora’s Cave. There’s no release date yet. The manuscript has to go through editing first. But I’ll keep you up to date as I get news. In the meantime, here’s the unofficial, not yet sanctioned blurb which may or may not change in the final picture.

Kirk, Master to his long-time lover Evan, decides it ‘s time to place his permanent collar around Evan’s sexy cock. But when he proposes he faces a surprise. Evan wants a child. So where will they find a kinky woman to help?

A mysterious card with the 1-800-DOM-help number advertises assistance for unusual problems in the BDSM community. When Evan calls he recognizes the voice of the Mistress from their past. Sarah–Kirk’s best friend from childhood–Evan’s Mistress of several years in college. They loved her and suffered betrayal when she walked out of their lives.

Now she proposes to be the mother of their child. No strings, just a chance to have the men she respected and loved back in her life. Evan embraces the idea while Kirk rages with mistrust.

At Evan’s request they share one night of passion, Kirk and Sarah working together to dominate Evan in the scene of his erotic fantasies. But will it be enough to rekindle trust and make all their dreams come true?

Aside from being my first novella length publication, it’s my first contemporary BDSM as well. Although I admit there is a hint of otherworldly, that is minor compared to what I’ve written.

One last note, the picture at the top of the blog is my new screen saver thanks to my wonderful DH. How very thoughtful, no?

I’m talking about using a whip as a prop today over at my 1-800-DOM-help blog. Please visit and tell me a bit about the favorite prop of yours you don’t really have to use to still enjoy. By the way, did I tell you I finally hit send and submitted Fettered Love to my editor? Phew, er, I mean yay!  I’ll keep you updated.

Commanding Acquisitions

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , on November 16, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

Read this book! No kidding, if you like male/male BDSM romance then you will definitely enjoy Commanding Acquistions by Christine d’Abo. And I’m not just saying this because she is a part of the Ellora’s Cave 1-800-DOM-help series along with me. My novella for this series is done, by the way, and is due to be sent to my editor once I integrate some of the feedback of my lovely critique partners.

But, back to the point. I’ve included the blurb below, but this novella does its job perfectly. It gives us two characters, intelligent, intriguing, sexy and enjoyable, places them at an important pivot point of their lives, drives the sexual heat high between them, and makes them face important decisions about taking the risk of relationship and coping with the fears that get in their way. Plus, the BDSM action is hot. I know I’ve enjoyed a story when I want to know more about the characters and wish they could come over for a dinner party. I felt this way about Simon and Gavin. So head on over to Ellora’s Cave and purchase yourself a copy. Definitely a two thumbs up.

Book blurb:

Simon is a Dom who has become jaded, tired of the local scene. With his bookstore failing and personal life nonexistent, he’s looking for something different. The arrival of the mysterious 1-800-DOM-help business card gives Simon a chance for a change. The Operator directs him to Unfettered, a hot new BDSM club where Simon hopes to find a distraction for the evening. What he gets is a sexy sub offering himself up for a night of no-holds-barred sex, who then disappears with the dawn.

When the business consultant Simon hires turns out to be his mysterious sub, he knows he’s found a chance at happiness. But happiness comes at a price.

New Reality Transmission?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , on November 1, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

I stumbled upon a website from New Reality Transmission the other day. Below is the lead statement on the home page.

On 11-11, 2010, one million people across the globe will mentally project a unified vision of a new paradigm for our species… a new reality.  The very real physics that connects human consciousness with molecular structure will be harnessed en masse during the largest scale simultaneous manifestation transmission in recorded history.

Apparently this is a project to encourage the simultaneous visualization of peace. The group leading it says they are a full-time international team of physicists and mathematicians, but there is a dearth of contact information.

Their explanation about why this meditation event can work is…

According to the most well-tested theory in physics, Quantum Mechanics, your consciousness changes reality. In this theory, the phenomenon known as the collapse of the Quantum Wave Function is what brings reality into existence. This is a fancy way of saying that one’s conscious observation of small unseen waves actually causes those waves to “collapse” into matter. In other words, conscious observation materializes particles into existence.

What do you believe about the power of conscious thought? Are you game to try this? I just might. As a writer I believe in the power of words, the force of language. But language is only one of the layers of the mind. And if by itself it has brought about revolutions, imagine what a greater harnessing of our minds will do.

Chime in on your opinion after clicking over to New Reality Transmission. You decide. November 11th is just around the corner.

Review Magic

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on October 13, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

Another great review for Magician’s Chains at Joyfully Reviewed

Lisa says, “…Incredibly provocative and undeniably sensual, Magician’s Chains is a dangerously sexy story. Jesse’s emotional guilt and angst jump from the pages while Savin’s erotic dominance blazes forth as well.  Not only do the main characters have to deal with the pitfalls of a relationship, but the additional element of Faerie makes Magician’s Chains even more fascinating.  Passion, intrigue, and bold D/s moments make Magician’s Chains a seriously entertaining read.”

Romanticon Rocked!

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on October 12, 2010 by Michelle Polaris

I’ve returned from Romanticon 2010 (the relatively new–2nd annual–Ellora’s Cave reader/writer convention)  in one piece and a much better more relaxed person for having gone. Did I forget to mention I was going? Ah well. The entire event was fantastic. I’ve posted assorted photos, mostly stolen from one EC author or another because my camera sucks. Above is the photo from Saturday night with yours truly posed with the Cavemen, Shannon and CJ while I received my Rising Star Award for being one of the new Ellora’s Cave authors published for the first time this past year.

This is the wonderous Desiree Holt just about to get a spanking from Caveman Angelo at the Sunday evening Bingo party. Desiree won the gift tote full of wicked promo items from the brand new 1 800 Dom help collaboration authors. Of course Desiree is part of the collaboration, but she went home a lucky girl with a tote full of floggers, paddles and other assorted goodies. I’m posting pictures out-of-order from the events, but this one was so much fun I had to put it up early in the queue.

The first of the two above pictures is me with Joey W. Hill (middle) and Frances Stockton at the Roaring Twenties party Friday night. This was a huge fan girl moment for me since Joey is the reason I write what I do.

The next picture is of the Cavemen. You can never have too many pictures of the Cavemen from EC. Duh.

Lena Matthews (the lady in red) won the dance contest at the 20’s party Friday, although you can see me in the gangster moll costume cheering her on (mouth wide open and hollering loud). I was lucky enough to get to the top 5 in the contest, dancing fool I was that night.

Francesca Hawley (left), Cai Smith (middle) and VJ Devereux (right), lined up for the Saturday night awards dinner. These are very sweet ladies.

If I find more pictures I’ll post them. But this event was full of the warmest most welcoming people on the planet, EC authors, readers and staff. It was truly wonderful. I’m definitely in for next year. Thank you to Ellora’s Cave for making their 10th anniversary celebration rock!
